RX Radio is a radio station– run by and for children - at the Red Cross War Memorial Children’s Hospital. The initiative aims to create a platform for communication between hospitalised children, their families, and the health services by providing patients with the skills and support to produce and broadcast radio programmes across the hospital. In addition, we are a project initiated under the Red Cross War Memorial Children’s Hospital Facility Board.

“Sunsets and Waterfalls" is a passion project founded by Cindy Jacobs and Toni Erasmus. The published book contains over 300 poems, as well as some beautiful illustrations Carter Constant. The book has been a platform to give a voice to South African women, children, and families who share their true and raw experiences. Launched last year in May, Cindy and Toni joined us in studio to tell us more about the book and its journey.

Author Yusuf Daniels was born in Bridgetown during the apartheid years and later moved with his family to Mitchells Plain on the Cape Flats. Today he is a full-time writer and refers to himself as an accidental author. Yusuf has published three memoirs about his life living in the Cape Flats: Living Coloured, Living Lekka and Living the Hustle.
