RX Radio is a radio station– run by and for children - at the Red Cross War Memorial Children’s Hospital. The initiative aims to create a platform for communication between hospitalised children, their families, and the health services by providing patients with the skills and support to produce and broadcast radio programmes across the hospital. In addition, we are a project initiated under the Red Cross War Memorial Children’s Hospital Facility Board.

Nzayo is Comedian and Public speaker who studied at Rhodes for BA and MA at the University of Nelson Mandela and is a IsiXhosa Language Practitioner at Western Cape Department of Education. This year during this year's Two Oceans Marathon he ran under the RX Radio banner & helped raise funds for the station.

Kumele Mngoma is an impressive young individual who has made waves in the world of pageantry. Last year November, she had the honour of being crowned Miss Jnr Teen Western Province. She has used her title to give back to the community and better herself as an individual. At just 15 years old, she has achieved the distinction of being a finalist in the Miss Teenager South Africa competition.

Mark Thomas is an architect at Mark Thomas Architects (MTA) who initiated the idea of hosting a fundraiser for RX Radio by putting on a concert in collaboration with the Cape Town Brass Band after he heard our plea to secure more funds to keep children's voices on the air. We will talk to him about the concert, what you can expect, and why he decided to join the fight to help RX Radio continue to empower children's voices.

Kwikspar Pinelands has been such great supporter of the station and the two sons of the stores Supervisor Gabriel and Joshua Putzier- Worship will be talking about why businesses should give back to the communities they operate in. Gabriel who is 21 years old has a passion for all things performing arts as he is currently a second year drama and dance major student at the Waterfront Theatre School. Joshua at present is working at Pinelands Kwikspar with his dad where he works in the kitchen as an assistant chef, and not only is he skilled in the kitchen but, he has also given a talk with SAPS about the dangers of cyber bullying and hacking.

His passion lies in live performance, and he has particularly strong background in children's theatre, where he is excited to foster new audiences and tell stories that speak to a new generation. He wrote the script adaptation, music, and lyrics for Wanda and directed the original production.

Kiviet Cewu has been working in the Higher Education space for over a decade, NMMU Business School, Varsity College, College of Cape and currently UCT as a Student Recruitment Officer which entails school presentations, career expos, qualification information dissemination by interviews and administrative work.

Timothy is a UCT graduate, and his musical journey began at age 11 at The Ubuntu Music Academy. He developed a passion for jazz and in particular, the guitar, as the instrument for interpreting this unique form of music. Though very young, Timothy quickly gained skill and proficiency in playing the guitar. He immersed himself in his studies while exploring the wide spectrum of jazz styles and techniques employed by iconic guitarists such as George Benson, Jonathan Butler, Earl Klugh, Peter White and others. In 2021 he released his DEBUT Jazz ALBUM “For Such A Time As This”.
