RX Radio is a radio station– run by and for children - at the Red Cross War Memorial Children’s Hospital. The initiative aims to create a platform for communication between hospitalised children, their families, and the health services by providing patients with the skills and support to produce and broadcast radio programmes across the hospital. In addition, we are a project initiated under the Red Cross War Memorial Children’s Hospital Facility Board.

Michaela Hannibal, a Gr. 10 student at Bergvliet High School, has been playing the Bass Guitar for 5 years and achieved a distinction in her Grade 6 Trinity College exam. This year she performed in the 21st edition of the Artscape Youth Jazz Series. She joins Sebastian on the RX Radio Top 10 to chat about her experience.

Sebastian interviews Emily Leuner on the RX Radio Top 10. She is a is a General Manager at Tintswalo Safari Lodge in Mpumalanga. She studied Graphic Design with a Masters in Design. This year she is part of an exhibition that is currently being held at the Cape Town Museum of Childhood called “Madiba and Children”. The exhibition features people who were lucky enough to meet Nelson Mandela when they were children.
