RX Radio is a radio station– run by and for children - at the Red Cross War Memorial Children’s Hospital. The initiative aims to create a platform for communication between hospitalised children, their families, and the health services by providing patients with the skills and support to produce and broadcast radio programmes across the hospital. In addition, we are a project initiated under the Red Cross War Memorial Children’s Hospital Facility Board.

This interview is focused on #KeepingRXRadioOnAir and making sure that the station exist for more years to come. Yusrah & Naseerah talk to Alan Jacobs & Tracy Benjamin about fundraising for RX Radio through the Sanlam Cape Town Marathon.
Alan has been working in Supply Chain Management for 18 years and has a daughter. Because of his love for running, pre-COVID he joined the Southern Striders based in Rondebosch. Alan also participates in Triathlons and Ironman. For this interview he is joined by his partner, Tracy Benjamin, a Media Specialist at an investment company. She supports Alan in his running journey to such an extent they both came up with our current campaign, RX Radio’s Warriors on Wheels.
